Lawrence Gottesman, D.D.S.
Dr. Gottesman maintains a solo private practice in Rockville Centre, New York devoted to excellence in general dentistry, cosmetic dental procedures, implant restorative dentistry and complex full mouth rehabilitation.  He also attends to the needs of the TMJ/TMD community to alleviate pain and suffering.

Shortly after Dr. Gottesman’s graduation from NYU College of Dentistry in 1977, he opened his first office in Oceanside.  As his practice grew an he gained the respect of his patients and colleagues alike, he moved to Rockville Centre in 1988 to a more modern, “state-of-the-art” office to better facilitate his patient’s needs.

With Dr. Gottesman’s combined love of cosmetic dentistry and his passion for helping people with TMJ disorders, his office has a patient friendly atmosphere with the finest dental care being provided in a caring, relaxed environment.

In addition to spending countless hours in discussions of TMJ disorders with some of the most distinguished dentists and physicians in this field, Dr. Gottesman has taught at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York (1992-1994) as well as NYU College of Dentistry (1996-1998) where he was the Director of Neuropathic Pain in the Advanced Orofacial Pain/TMD teaching program.  He was also responsible for post-graduate fellow training.  In 1996, Dr. Gottesman co-authored a landmark publication entitled, “Progressive Mandibular Retrusion-Idiopathic Condylar Resorption,” which appeared in the American Journal of Orthodontics in the July and August issues of that year.

Dr. Gottesman has been a guest lecturer, both locally and nationally, for several hospital teaching programs and university based teaching programs.  He attends study groups on a regular basis to keep abreast with the most current and innovative dental advances.

Dr. Lawrence Gottesman, affectionately known as “Dr. G” or “Doc” to his longtime faithful patients and friends, grew up in Brooklyn, New York.  He resides with his wife, Pat, in Oceanside and has two grown sons.

Staff Information:
Maxine Reskakis, my office assistant and manager, has over 40 years of experience in the dental profession. She makes each patient feel like both a friend and family member. Besides being a fabulous assistant, Maxine has a great sense of humor and enormous compassion for her patients. Maxine makes each day a joy at our office.
